Professional dental cleanings are key to the health and maintenance of your beautiful smile. Dental hygiene instruments can get where your toothbrush and floss can’t. Reaching those spots is imperative to good oral hygiene and healthy gum tissues. Our highly trained staff of Registered Dental Hygienists (RDH) are continually educating themselves on the latest dental cleaning techniques and products to provide the best possible care for your teeth. Your dental cleaning will include the following: tartar and plaque removal, teeth polishing and flossing.

Dental X-Rays are a necessity in diagnosing potential problems early; such as cavities, bone loss and more. Identifying these problems before they become bigger saves time, money, and most importantly, pain! X-Rays allow Dr. Andrew to see what he is not able to just by looking in your mouth and gives him a more complete view of your oral health. We recommend our patients complete cavity detection X-Rays (bitewing X-Rays) at a minimum of once per year. In addition, our patients can rest easy knowing we use digital X-Rays that have extremely low radiation exposure.

With each professional dental cleaning you will receive a dental exam performed by Dr. Andrew. Routine check-ups are imperative, not only for your oral hygiene, but also for your overall health. This dental exam allows Dr. Andrew to check the health of your gum tissues, look for any signs of decay, as well as perform an oral cancer screening. We recommend our patients schedule a dental exam twice per year to ensure issues are caught as early as possible – saving on more invasive treatments down the road.

Dental Sealants are critical in keeping your children’s teeth healthy. Sealants are natural looking filling materials that are applied to the chewing services of children’s permanent molars. This material helps prevent plaque and acid from getting into the hard-to-reach grooves on our back teeth – thus helping prevent cavities on these very important teeth. Sealants should be applied when these permanent molars come in. This procedure is done with no anesthetic and no shots, which means happy patients and happy parents!
